"MUST SEE. It's a winner in a first-rate, polished production.
Playwright Jacob Marx Rice’s smart, funny, sad script packs a lot into an hour. Strong work from all, starting with Lupica, Hobson and Roberts, and from the design team, many University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music grads. New York-based Mark Van Hare powerfully underscores the drama with his original music and sound design."

"Excellent performances. I found myself aching for both of them.
While the performances are reason enough to see this production, more impressive perhaps is how the message was delivered very simply, without preaching. The realization that one’s best efforts sometimes just aren’t enough to overcome disease is jarring; but realizing that mental illness is also that sort of disease is this play’s cautionary tale"

"A moving piece about mental illness.
To see some fine acting, I suggest you see Chemistry, another two-actor production, this one featuring Laurie Benning Roberts and Jay Hobson, recent members of the Cincinnati Playhouse’s acting intern company. She plays a chronic depressive; he portrays a manic and optimistic. They’re attracted, but their joint destiny is complicated and ultimately doomed. This is a serious and moving piece about mental illness."
